About the Author

I’m Divya. I read, write, research, code, and love to discuss about those with others as I keep learning. Mathematics has been my background initially, specifically in differential and geometric topology and this also keeps me fingertips away from physics. Apart from mathematics, my cup is always overflowing with various strands of philosophy, a good chunk of psychoanalysis, snippets of literature and verse, some art history and some neat love of technology that glues all those together. With those personal tidbits aside, what you’ll see here is a reflection of the crossroads at which I operate in these fields and my thoughts on those. While the current website doesn’t inculcate all of the aforementioned areas, it mostly circles around mathematics, logic, computer science and some philosophies that resonate with them.

When I’m not reading, writing or programming, I’m tweaking and fiddling around with my GNU/Linux and GNU Emacs. Here’s how you can reach me:

Free Software

As an ardent supporter of copyleft, everything available on this website is licensed either by GNU GPL or by a license that’s compatible to GPL. Usually what you’ll find is that artistic, literary or educational work is licensed using a flavor of the Creative Commons licenses and for software it’ll be the GPL.

I’m also a contributor to several free software projects, currently mostly to GNU Guix and GNU Emacs. In Guix, I am part of the Rust, Emacs and Haskell teams wherein I maintain packages related to them. I also additionally maintain a personal Guix channel where I keep the latest master branch of Emacs, and some other addtional packages that haven’t yet been upstreamed.

In Emacs, I took over the maintenance of the binder package and created the torrents-csv.el package. I also have a few patches downstream that are being worked upon for the Gnus newsreader in Emacs.
